Jared Brown

Jared Brown is the founder of HYPE drama, which teaches high energy, professional level Drama Classes for young people. A graduate of The National Theatre School of Canada; Jared has a rich and diverse resume, spanning over 20 years through theatre, Television, and radio.

His Selected credits include performances with The Shaw Festival of Canada, C.B.C. television, C.B.C. radio, The Canadian Film Centre, The Vancouver Film School, The History Channel, Sociable Films, The Tarragon Theatre and Ante M Theatre. Jared has also taught confidence workshops with Sunlife Mutual Financial. 

As a teacher, Jared spent five years teaching with Vancouver’s Young Actors Project. During that time, Jared taught thousands of young people basics in Scene Study, Voice, Movement, Neutral Mask and Improvisation.

Currently Jared teaches after school programs with Bowen Island Community School, leading students through workshops focusing on  Improvisation, Scene Study, Character Study, Neutral Mask and much more. He will also be doing up coming Shakespeare Workshops with Rockridge Secondary School, West Van Secondary School and Bowen Island Pacific School.

Jared brings a wealth of experience to all of his classes, sharing lessons passed on to him from numerous acting professionals throughout the world, to ensure that your child has a truly unique and inspiring dramatic experience.
